Student Ministry
At Second Mile Church, we value Jr. High and High School students (6th-12th grade), want to see them grow as followers of Jesus, and want to spread a love for the local church that will endure for their entire lifetimes. Therefore, we expect students to be an active part of the overall ministry that takes place through Second Mile Church.
The Student Ministry Community Group meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm at the Ruddells (4488 E Cavalry Dr, Gilbert). Jr. High and High School groups meet separately at the same home. Contact leader Eloy Garza for more information ().
Student Ministry Distinctives:
- Students should be called to the same high level of discipleship as adults
- Students need to integrate into the overall life of the church
- Leaders assist parents but don't replace parents (high parental involvement when possible)
- Students need to develop a biblical worldview
- Student ministry should foster healthy coed interaction
